If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! From the moment we walked in, everything was outstanding. The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We tried the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, the fried cheese, the Eggplant Parmigiana, the Quattro Formaggi pizza, the house bread, and the wine—and every single thing was absolutely delicious. What truly made the experience exceptional was the service. Our server, was amazing. He was friendly, attentive, professional, and had exactly the kind of attitude you hope for in a server. He made us feel welcome, gave great recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. This was an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend Porta di Roma to anyone looking for authentic Italian food, amazing wine, and exceptional service!

I am writing this review regarding my mother’s experience at Porta Di Roma on Main Street in Downtown Dallas. She has visited this restaurant before and has always enjoyed the food, which made this experience especially disappointing. When my mother entered the restaurant, there were only about four customers inside, yet there were no employees visible—not at the host stand, the dining room, or even the bar. She waited approximately 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged her presence. When an employee finally approached, there was no greeting, no “Welcome,” and no “How are you today?” She was simply asked, “what can I get you to drink?” She ordered a sweet tea, and shortly afterward the manager asked if she was dining alone. After she said yes, he seated her all the way in the back of the restaurant near the restrooms. Although she wasn’t happy with the location, she chose not to complain because she had walked to the restaurant, was exhausted from the Texas heat, and was hungry and thirsty. When her tea arrived, it was warm with only a few ice cubes. She politely asked for a cup of ice because she had ordered iced tea. Instead of apologizing or acknowledging the issue, the waitr

So good!!!!! The calzones are off the hook… epic to be exact. All the dishes were fantastic… get the bread that comes with pasta dishes…. So freaking good!!!! Maybe I was just really hungry but love this place.

Service here was amazing. This place is way better than expected. Make sure that you guys try to roll here actually a picture in the comments for you guys. I highly recommend the lemon cello cheesecake. It is a cake, but the icing is cheesecake. This place is gonna be way better than you guys could ever suspect.

First time guest and this place was PHENOMENAL from start to finish. We were warmly greeted upon entering and had exceptional service throughout the meal. Our server was very outgoing, pleasant, professional, made recommendations and very attentive to the table. We were warmly thanked when leaving. The server noticed a young lady outside get shoved to the ground by a homeless person and she went to check on her and offered her to come inside so she could compose herself bringing her water. Such love, compassion and empathy she showed a stranger which is unfortunately rare these days and I applaud her for that. The food was just as superior as the service. We started with bruschetta which was divine. The bread and tomatoes tasted very fresh and the olive oil was spot on. Very good sized portions and very reasonably priced I had chicken lasagna which is something I have never had or even heard of before. It was delightful and the chicken made the dish much more light to eat which I truly enjoyed. I combined it with the ravioli.
